Advancing Opportunity

“Transforming awareness into real inclusion”

The AO Social Rec Club

The AO Social Recreation Club provides inclusive, community-based pop-up events designed for individuals on the autism spectrum and those with disabilities to stay active, build friendships, and feel a true sense of belonging.

Activities may include:

  • Recreational sports like bags (cornhole) and kickball

  • Fitness-based group games and challenges

  • Video game and hangout stations for social connection

  • Structured and unstructured options to support different comfort levels

Every AO event is intentionally designed to be inclusive, flexible, and low-pressure, ensuring participants can stay engaged while building confidence, independence, and social skills.

The AO Social Recreation Club is more than just events—it’s a growing community focused on creating consistent opportunities for connection, movement, and meaningful engagement.
